Anoushka Shankar
Anoushka is a British-American musician and sitarist. She was awarded the British House of Commons' Shield, which is the youngest and also the first female recipient. Alongside receiving nine Grammy nominations and nine Grammy nominations, she also became the first Indian-born musician to present at and perform in the live ceremony. Anoushka Shankar is one of the rising stars of India's sitar. She is a student and daughter of the famous Ravi Shankar. Her birthplace was in London in 1982 and began her life by hopping from London as well as New Delhi. In New Delhi, she made her debut when she was only thirteen years of age. Later the same year, in Encinitas CA she attended high school and graduated with distinction in the year 1999. Anouskha is still pursuing a successful performing and recording careers, even though she's young. She regularly performs together with her dad, and has done so for many years. The year 1998 saw her debuted Anourag as her debut album as a solo artist. In 2002, she debuted her Grammy Nominated Live at Carnegie Hall. She has appeared at many major venues around the globe. Anoushka's career goes beyond the realm of music. Bapi The of My Life of My Live is her 2002 book, which was a tribute Ravi Shankar. in 2003 she starred on Dance Like a Man as an actress and Bharat Natyam artist. Anoushka Shakar's career as a professional will continue to grow and expand. We are looking forward to seeing many new things from her. Anoushka Shankar was born and raised in England and spent the majority of her childhood in London and Delhi after which she moved to California where she attended the high school. At the age of 9 She began studying the piano with her father. Her debut performance on the sitar came in her 75th birthday celebration in Delhi, four years after. Anoushka, who accompanied her father during his world tour, gained an impressive number of experiences. When she was in her teens, she performed at Carnegie Hall as part of Peter Gabriel's WOMAD and even recorded with George Harrison. Her artistry and musicianship was recognised by British parliament as the best in Asian Arts.
